How to Enter the
Tweed Business Awards

Are you ready to be recognised amongst the Tweed Shire’s leading businesses? Want to acknowledge the exemplary efforts of a key team member?

If you and your business have made a difference by launching an exceptional product or service, developing innovation or you’ve experienced outstanding growth in revenue, team size and/or your product/service offering, the Tweed Business Awards are for you.

How to Enter

Entering the Tweed Business Awards is as simple as following these simple steps:

1. Check the Rules of Entry and eligibility criteria of the category you wish to enter.

2. You may enter one or several categories, however you can only submit one entry in each category.

3. If you don’t already have one, set up a Business NSW account HERE and nominate your business for the Awards.

4. Draft a submission for each of the categories you wish to enter. We suggest you do this offline in a Word or Google document and upload it when completed.

5. Upload your completed submission to the Business NSW Awards Portal before 5.00pm on .

6. After entries close, our panel of expert judges will read, assess and score each submission carefully. Our shortlist of finalists will be announced on . All businesses are invited to attend the Gala Awards Presentation Event on , where our amazing winners will be announced!

7. Finalists and winners will be issued a media pack to use in your email signature, on your website and any other marketing material to promote your status as an award finalist or winner.

Tips for Entrants

To write a compelling submission for the Tweed Business Awards, it is important to plan out your awards strategy first.

Consider which categories you wish to enter and what outcomes you wish to achieve, such as attracting new customers or high-calibre employees.

Select categories carefully, taking into consideration the eligibility criteria, questions and guidelines given.

Form a support team that includes customer-facing employees and managers, business coach/adviser, accountant, established customers and members of your inner circle who have watched your business grow.

Start early by gathering relevant data and endorsements from satisfied customers or clients.

Draft your submission in Word document or Google doc to share, edit and polish before uploading.

Tell a compelling story that is relevant to the criteria provided by ensuring you provide enough information and context for the judges’ analysis.
